Revelation - Part 7 - Philadelphia

Welcome to the city of brotherly love! We are looked at the 6th church of Revelation: Philadelphia. The city was founded by Attalus II who was the ruler of the city of Pergamum between 159 -138 BC. We are told that Attalus cared so much for his brother Eumenes that he was known as Philadelphos, which literally means “One who loves his brother.” And so he named the city Philadelphia! That will have an important significance on understanding this letter.
